OMEI - "When All Your Ghosts Are Tired"
CD - lmt.500 - March 06'
$8 in N. America and $12 Elsewhere
Postage Paid

Omei expresses itself through the idea of "One thought for a thousand years." The same memory played over and over until it drives you. The mind to the grindstone with nothing ahead but hours and hours of empty slow time. Two long pieces of grinding, sometimes turbulent minimalist drone and industrial from Chris of SICKNESS side project. The first track takes minimal synth loops (with additional material from James Keeler of Wilt) that slowly loop and march into a grinder of distortion to be spit out - angry and venomous. Aggressive but spent. The second track is field recordings (with additional material from Joe Colley) smashed together and blended into an atmosphere of empty warehouse sounds and abandonment. Negative and burned. Constant movement and shifting, panning and empty reverb. Presented by Ninth Circle Music and Misanthrope Studio. Artist edition available at No Fun Fest and then directly from Misanthrope Studio.

On June 12th 2005, PCRV played two shows in one day. The first show, which was during the afternoon, was played at The Electric Heavyland. It was a in-store performance which was a nice affair, harsh and fast cut-up improv noise. The second performance, which was at night, was at the Baltic Room. Here the noise was much louder and intense due to the insane PA we had (they had a nine foot subwoofer). Misanthrope Studio is very proud to bring you these two amazing PCRV performances.

EXSANGUINATE / [l-i-t-d-n-a] - "Allegory of Death" split CD
lmt. to 500 - June 03'
$12 in N.America $13 Elsewhere

Each band presents it's own sonic Allegories of Death... meditations on that inevitability we all fear and at the same time are fascinated by. To set the tone Exsanguinate starts with a commanding and urgent track, flush with militaristic undercurrents in it's opening moments. From there the material evolves into something more abstract and steeped in dread with tendrils stretching into elements of clinical drone and throbbing frequencies to a more introspective ambient chaos. [l-i-t-d-n-a] rounds out the disc with their unique blend of deep tones, harsh frequencies, gentle pulses against an almost ambient feedback. Squalls, static, interjecting beats, squirming distortions and vocalizations accentuate an anxious, looming reality. [l-i-t-d-n-a] closes among fluid environmental recordings juxtaposed with clanks and pulse beats, to provide the score for a yet to be discovered altered state, one in which reason is elusive.
