Triage is a collaborative project between Scott Candey of Gruntsplatter and Chet Scott of Ruhr Hunter. We began recording together for Triage in mid-1997, and quickly put together about 40 minutes of material before being sidetracked by a fire that destoyed the flat that we shared. After the fire we continued to record new material, but being that we no longer shared a recording space it came much slower. Gradually we continued to experiment until at last we came to a vision for how we wanted the project to develop.

Triage made it's first audio appearance on the "Baited Breath" double cassette compilation with a track called "Organism." A full length album entitled "The Cessation Of Spoil" followed.

"The Cessation of Spoil" while only containing one of those early tracks, marks the first time that we both feel we've achieved what we saw as this collaborations potential. Combining an older Industrial, feel with clinical Power Electronics and organic drones this record marks new territory for each of the contributors and emerged as a unique addition to the experimental scene.

Chet continues to record as Ruhr Hunter and has also worked on material under the name Your Cell: Yourself. He also runs the Glass Throat Recordings record label. Scott continues to record as Gruntsplatter.

There is no new Triage material currently planned but it is a project that we both have an interest in revisiting at some point when our other obligations allow for the time it would take.
