snaig tharta is a project my wife, Nora, and I have been working on for the last year and a half. Lighthunter is 7 tracks, just shy of 40 minutes of music that we’ve had a hard time classifying. It has elements of dream pop, shoegaze, noise rock, all intermingled with ambience and electronics. The instrumentation includes everything from traditional folk instruments to modular synth.
That said it’s cohesive and atmospheric all the way through. Nora did the writing and lyrics, I did the electronics, programming, mixing etc. We’ve wanted to find a way to combine our talents and influences for well over a decade.
